M.A. Peers has been exhibiting at Rosamund Felsen Gallery since 1997. Her artworks are in the collections of the Weisman Foundation, the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum at Utah State University, Logan, as well as many important private collections. She received her BFA at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg and an MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1994. Her paintings have been included in exhibitions at the Irvine Fine Arts Center; the Sweeney Art Gallery, UC Riverside; the Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery, NY; the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery and a one person exhibition, with catalogue, at Pomona College Museum of Art, Pomona, CA.
M.A.’s extensive work raising, training and showing dogs competitively, as well as her regular participation in specialty dog training events, informs her artwork. Her well known and admired portraits of the Soviet Space Dogs were the result of a commission by the Museum of Jurassic Technology in Los Angeles. She has taught and continues to teach at various art departments such as UCLA and West Los Angeles College.
